Club Championships 2025

The club’s championship weekend consists of 2 days of racing for a number of trophies – some aimed at experienced helms and crews, but also some targeted at the less experienced. The full programme can be found in the here.

There will be a briefing for sailors at 10.30 on Saturday followed by races from 10.55.

Notice is hereby given of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Upper Thames Sailing Club (“the Club”) to be held on Sunday, 2nd November 2025 at 4.00 pm in the Clubhouse.

The Commodore and Officers of the Club cordially invite you to attend the meeting. Your attendance is encouraged as it is your opportunity to hear about the work of the Officers and Committees of the Club, to ask questions and to provide comments.

An RYA-accredited Training Centre, UTSC offers training to all, from complete beginners to those would like to improve their existing sailing skills.

Bourne End Week

The club’s main open regatta is Bourne End Week (BEW) which was first run in 1887 and has been a regular event since then.

Bourne End Week is typically held during the late May Bank Holiday weekend.

It is a 4-day event from Friday 23th to Monday 26th of May 2025

Sailing

UTSC is located on one of the best sailing reaches on the River Thames, with a mile-long stretch between Bourne End and islands below Marlow Lock, incorporating the widest part of the non-tidal river.

The season runs from March to December, with racing on Wednesday evenings and Sundays.

Members are able to book out club boats for their own use. The club fleet includes Wayfarers, OKs, Fevas, Toppers and Optimists.
